The Rivers State Police Command says it has commenced investigation into the crises that rocked various parts of the state with the aim of bringing perpetrators to book.
The state Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan made this known in a chat with journalists yesterday while inspecting the level of damage on properties at Oyigbo LGA.
Mukan assured residents of the state of the command’s commitment to protect lives and properties while noting that most of the properties destroyed were owned by individuals.
He also dispelled the news of the killing and beheading of the DPO of Oyigbo Area Command, Suleiman Abdulahi, while stating the DPO is alive and well.
