The Rivers State Police Command says the car used in conveying the kidnapped lawyer, Paulette Ajayi from her residence belongs to another kidnap victim.
The State Commissioner of Police, Joseph Mukan disclosed this when members of the taskforce set up by the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) to ensure the release of Barrister Ajayi paid him a courtesy visit in his office today.
Mukan said with the new development, the identity of the kidnappers is now known and the culprits will be brought to book.
He noted that the wife of the owner of the car had earlier reported that the husband was abducted by unknown gunmen few weeks ago.
Pauletta Ajayi was kidnapped few days ago at her residence, an act which has since been condemned by many stakeholders, who have also called for her unconditional release.
