The Rivers State Police command has urged members of the public to promptly and effectively report any form of human rights abuses from any of its officers in the state.
Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Nnamdi Omoni made this known in a statement yesterday in Port Harcourt.
Omoni said any form of abuse should be reported to the relevant authorities ad then if nothing is done, people can engage media platforms. He advised residents not to be in a haste to cast aspersions on the force through the media without first reporting such matters.
He asserted that the Commissioner of Police of Rivers State, CP Joseph Mukan does not condone any form of indiscipline from any of his officers and takes issues of human rights abuses seriously.
