The Rivers State Police Command has arrested three of its officers for alleged extortion.
Spokesperson of the command, Grace Koko in a statement said the officers were arrested while extorting motorists under the Rumuokoro flyover in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
She also said the officers were arrested by the Inspector General of Police monitoring team.
She added that the officers have been detained, and would be prosecuted for the unprofessional conduct.
Koko warned officers against such acts and reiterated the commands commitment towards sanitizing the force.
