The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of one of its officers involved in the shooting a 19-year-old young man identified as Ledisi Kote. Kote is said to been responsible for impregnating a young girl.

Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni confirmed this in a chat with journalists today.

He said the matter is currently being investigated and that justice will be served.

According to Kote’s father, the police officer who is attached to the Kpor Police Division in Gokana, stormed the compound of the young man, brought him out and shot him in the leg.
