The Rivers State Police Command has arrested and detained Police officers alleged to have raped a widow at Sakpenwa, Tai, Local Government Area.
Spokesperson of the command, SP Nnamdi Omoni made this known in a chat with journalists yesterday.
Omoni said the officers and the widow have all given their own sides of the story concerning the incident. He assured the public of proper investigation and prosecution of the matter as it will not be swept under the carpet.
The lady had accused the officers of raping her in a beer parlour, after she was arrested for not wearing a face mask.
