The Rivers State Police Command has announced the arraignment of its former officer, Inspector Isaiah Bene, alleged to have shot-dead Daniel Chibuike Ikeagwuchi popularly known as ‘Sleek’ in Obio-Akpor LGA, few weeks ago.
The force Public Relations officer, Nnamdi Omoni disclosed this in a statement yesterday Wednesday 2, 2020.
Omoni noted that the accused person could not take his plea in court due to the nature of the charge.
He said Mr. Isaiah was remanded at the Port Harcourt Correctional Centre by the presiding Magistrate, Chief Magistrate D.L Konya, pending advice from the State Ministry of Justice.
The case was later adjourned to January 20, 2021 for hearing.
