A youth group known as South South Youth Initiative, has alleged that the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, has refused to disburse funds to some political parties in the state, because they failed to field PDP members as candidates, who will later step down for candidates of the PDP.
National president of the group, Comrade Imeabe Saviour Oscar, made the allegation in a press statement, few days ago.
He said the leadership of RSIEC, had directed political parties to present PDP members, as flagbearers.
Imeabe also accused the Commission of working for the PDP, as it is not ready to conduct a free and credible election.
He said the RSIEC Chairman, Retd Justice George Omereji had also threatened him and his group not to be seen anywhere near the election centres.
Imeabe wondered why RSIEC does not want them to monitor the process, if it truly wants to conduct a credible poll.
