The Rivers State House of Assembly has promised to intervene in the face-off between the Association of Medical Laboratory in the state and the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.
Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ikunyi Ibani disclosed this in a statement in Port Harcourt over the weekend.
He said the health sector in the state should not be engulfed in any crises owing to the huge investment in the sector by the state government.
Ikunyi Ibani said the house committees on Health, Education and and Public Complaints will look into the matter with a view to finding a lasting solution to the problem.
The Association had few days protested to the state assembly over what they termed encroachment by the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.
