The Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has adjourned suit seeking to declare seats of defected Rivers lawmakers vacant to June 24, 2024.
The lawyer to the defected lawmakers had requested for more time to attend another case at the Court of Appeal.
The suit was filed by the Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, RIVCSO.
Also the Appeal Court adjourned the case brought before it by the Amaewhule-led faction seeking to set aside the ruling of a state high court which restrained them from functioning as member of the state assembly to June 20 2024 for hearing.
The court ordered that all parties maintain status quo and refrain from any further actions until the appeal hearing.
