Rivers lawmaker – Hon. Victor Oko Jumbo says the state governor – Sir, Sim Fubara has directed that sittings of the House of Assembly will now hold at the Government House, pending conclusion on the renovation of the House of Assembly Complex.
He reportedly disclosed this during an interview on AIT.
This comes hours after some assembly members led by Factional Speaker of the House, Hon. Martin Amaewhule held a sitting at the Assembly quarters on Tuesday.
Hon. Jumbo who is part of the Edison Ehie led group loyal to governor Fubara also held a sitting at an undisclosed venue and passed a vote of confidence on the state governor.
Meanwhile, the Ehie group yesterday secured a court injunction restraining the Amaewhule group from further holding sittings at the Assembly Complex.
