The Rivers State Ministry of Health says all suspected 59 cases of Lassa Fever have been treated and discharged.
Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adaeze Oreh disclosed this in a statement.
She said, “However, our robust surveillance efforts remain in place to ensure early detection and response.
“Total Suspected Cases: 59
Laboratory Confirmed Positive Cases: 6 (2 Post mortem).
Treated and Discharged Positive Cases: 4.
Laboratory Confirmed Negative Cases: 53.
Contacts of Cases under Follow-up: 0.
Contacts who have Exited Surveillance: 148.
Laboratory Pending Sample Result: 0.”
