The Rivers State Government has signed an agreement to establish a new city in Rivers State.
The Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) agreement was signed between the Rivers State Government, Rainbow Heritage Group (RHG) and the Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority (GPHCDA) at Government House House in Port Harcourt on Thursday,
Attorney General of the State, Dagogo Iboroma, SAN and the Acting Director General of the Greater Port Harcourt City Development Authority, Dr Tonte Davies signed for the Rivers State Government.
Mr Oliver Biedima, the Group Managing Director (GMD), signed for the Rainbow Heritage Group.
The agreement is structured as a Public-Private-Partnership’s framework. It expected to deliver the New Port City on a one thousand hectares of land in Eleme Local Government Area.
