A Central Planning Committee (CPC) for Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day celebration has been set up by the Rivers State Government.
Dr. Tammy Danagogo – Secretary to the Rivers State Government (SSG), inaugurated the committee in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
Juliana Masi, Head of Press Unit, Office of the Secretary to the State Government, made this known in a statement.
The committee will plan and execute all the approved activities to ensure a successful organisation of the 64th Independence Celebration of Nigeria in the State.
There will be a Juma’at Prayers on Friday 27th September with an Inter-Denominational Church Thanksgiving Service to hold on Sunday 29th September, 2024 while the grand-finale will be on Tuesday, 1st October, at the Sharks Stadium with spectacular parade and performances.
