The Rivers State Ministry of Agriculture is proud to announce its participation in the 2024 World Food Day celebrations, taking place on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. This year’s theme, “Right to Food for a Better Life and a Better Future,” highlights the importance of access to diverse, nutritious, and safe food for all.
The Ministry invites all LGAs to participate in this event to showcase its agricultural produces. All Executive Chairmen and Chairpersons of the 23 LGA’s are respectfully required to lead their local governments with the perculiar produce of their LGA. Farmers, stakeholders, and the general public are all invited to register for free now and be part of this significant event. The program promises to be an exciting opportunity for partnerships, exhibitions, and knowledge sharing. By working together, we can create a better, more sustainable food future for our communities.
To make this year’s celebration a success, the Ministry encourages farmers to showcase their produce and innovative farming techniques, stakeholders to explore partnership opportunities and share expertise, and the general public to participate in workshops, exhibitions, and awareness campaigns.
The Ministry also urges everyone to join the global movement by organizing events, activities, or sharing personal stories of action. Together, we can make #WorldFoodDay a catalyst for positive change in our food systems. Let’s work together towards a better, more sustainable food future for all.
To participate or partner with the Ministry for this event, please register now by contacting the Rivers State Ministry of Agriculture as limited slot are available. Together, we can create a better future for our communities.
The ministry is expanding its invitation to all 23 local government councils to participate in the 2024 World Food Day celebrations. Each council is encouraged to send representatives to be part of the events, showcasing their unique agricultural produces and sharing best practices.
