The Rivers State Ministry of Health has announced the commencement of a measles vaccination exercise.
The State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adaeze in a statement said the campaign targets children aged nine months to five years.
According to her, the exercise is expected to run from October, 12 – 18 2024, adding that the vaccination is crucial for protecting children from severe complications.
She urged parents and guardians to bring their children to vaccination posts and encourage others to do so.
