The Rivers State Government has reportedly revoked the Certificate of Occupancy of Le Meridien Hotels in GRA, Port Harcourt.
Sources say the C of O of Meridien Hotel was revoked after supporters of the PDP Presidential candidate held a meeting in the hotel.
According to Opunabo Inko-Tariah Gov. Wike withdrew the certificate of occupancy following a meeting in the hotel by associates of Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate.
However, the state Commissioner of Information and Communications, Chris Finebone in a statement Today, said he is not aware of the revocation.
The management of the Hotel while reacting to the development said they are not aware of the revocation of its Certificate of Occupancy.
It noted that they are apolitical, and that business activities are ongoing in the facility.
