The newly installed facilities include a solar-powered walk-in cold room, vaccine vial crushers, operational vehicles, and motorcycles for disease surveillance across Local Government Areas. Prof. Odu emphasized that the investment aims to maintain vaccine efficacy and strengthen healthcare delivery systems in the state.
She credited Governor Sir Dr. Siminalayi Fubara’s administration for prioritizing healthcare infrastructure and expressed gratitude to global partners like WHO, UNICEF, and CHI for their support.
The event also featured remarks from State Health Commissioner Dr. Adaeze Oreh, Primary Healthcare Management Board Chairman Prof. Blessing Jaja, and Executive Secretary Prof. Kinikanwo Green, all highlighting the initiative’s impact on enhancing vaccine storage and overall healthcare efficiency in Rivers State.
