The Rivers State Government, has reacted to the obscene content that was displayed on a billlboard at the Mile 1 by Rebisi Flyover in Port Harcourt on Thursday.
According to sources, a billboard yesterday, displayed 60 seconds pornographic content.
Reacting to the incident, Chairman of the Rivers State Signage and Advertisement Agency, RISAA, Hon. Anthony Okeah said the Billboard has been shutdown.
According to him, RISAA, do not have the power to regulate media contents as it is the the responsibility of the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria, APCON.
He said RISAA is saddled with the responsiblitiy of monitoring and regulating Billboard structures in terms of location and sizes.
Okeah noted that the incident was disheartening and that the agency will take further actions to ensure it never happen again.
