The Rivers State Ministry of Health has announced a week-long healthcare initiative offering free surgical operations and other medical services across government-accredited facilities in the state to commemorate Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s 50th birthday on Tuesday.
The programme, organized in collaboration with the Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme, is expected to benefit 50 individuals with free surgeries.
Addressing journalists in Port Harcourt on Monday, Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adaeze Oreh, highlighted the government’s commitment to accessible healthcare and social equity, aligning with Governor Fubara’s “Health For All Rivers” agenda.
Dr. Oreh stated that the surgeries are available exclusively to enrollees of the Sim Jara Health Scheme and will run from Monday to Friday.
