The Rivers State Government has presented a new operational bus to the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH), reinforcing its commitment to healthcare workers’ welfare.
The bus was handed over at the hospital premises on behalf of Governor Siminalayi Fubara by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adaeze Oreh, with the Chief Medical Director of RSUTH, Prof.
Chizindu A. Alikor, in attendance.
Speaking during the ceremony, Dr. Oreh said the gesture underscores the Fubara administration’s resolve to create a supportive work environment for medical professionals and to strengthen healthcare delivery across the state.
She noted that the intervention would ease the logistical challenges faced by the resident doctors, enabling them to better serve members who play a critical role in the state’s clinical services.
