REFUTAL
The attention of the Rivers State Commissioner for Agriculture, Honourable Victor Kii has been drawn to a radio announcement credited to a group called, “Food Adulteration and Association of Livestock Managers and Food Products Dealers of Nigeria Special Task Force on Agriculture, Rivers State Chapter, “appointing its Assistant Executives.
The Honourable Victor Kii wishes to State clearly that neither the State Governor, His Excellency, Sir Siminalaye Fubara nor the Commissioner for Agriculture has appointed or mandated any group or constituted a Task Force on Food Adulteration
The statement describes the group as faceless, and fake, and its actions fraudulent, deceptive, and a calculated attempt to smear the image of the Commissioner for Agriculture and the State Government, and to cause chaos in the polity.
He further advises the public to discountenance such falsehood; and warns the unscrupulous elements who are hellbent at causing disaffection in the State to desist forthwith or face legal actions.
