Armed robbers last night reportedly invaded two female Hostels at the Rivers State University and carted away personal belongings such as phones and laptops.
Occupants of the two hostels – C and D made this known in a chat with journalists this morning.
They said the robbers who broke into the hostels through the fence, had guns and other dangerous weapons.
The female students in a now trending video held placards with inscriptions like “RSU and Insecurity be Like 5 & 6” “We were robbed and raped” amongst others.
Efforts to reach Chief Security Officer of the institution and the SUG president have not been successful.
