The Public Ọrientation department of Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA) took to the Streets, Parks and Markets around Rumuodomanya to sensitize, educate and introduce the new order of waste management in Rivers State.
The Leader of the team Lady Victoria Wobo outlined the objective of the visit, speaking with Rumuodomanya community executives she emphasized the need for synergy between the Community leaders, Sanitation Chairman and all stake holders as it relates to waste management in the area. The team was received by Chief Amb. Eberendu A. Rumuodomanya Development Council Chairman, who expressed delight and commended the team for this well meaning move, hẹ further assured the Council ‘s support and Participation during every Ọrientation exercise.
The Riwama team and the Rumuodomanya clan Sanitation team further paid a Courtesy visit to the DPO at Rumuodomanya who also assigned relevant officers to be on standby as they go about the Sensitization tour in the area. The Leader of the team Victoria Wobo and other members spread across the Markets and its environs using public address system to sensitize the public on the Plans of Government, time for dumping Waste, environmental cleanliness and họw to bag their Waste.
The team further agreed with market leaders to hold a Comprehensive meeting which will involve all stake holders in Rumuodomanya clan in order to take relevant environmental decisions in the Interest and success of Rumuodomanya clan.
