PRESS STATEMENT
…Commited To Cleaner Environment
The Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA) has acknowledged a recent media reports by a group called Niger Delta Youth Leaders, alleging that the Acting Sole Administrator, Hon Prince Obi Ohia, awarded a contract to his wife.
We wish to clarify that contracts within RIWAMA are awarded based on merit, and there is no favoritism towards the relatives of our principal.
Furthermore, the accusation of Mr. Ohia sabotaging the Fubara-led administration is baseless and merely an attempt at cheap blackmail.
We assure the public that the recent improvements in the cleanliness of Port Harcourt and Obio-Akpor are a result of the diligent efforts of our team and the support of the governor’s aide on Environmental Sanitation.
We urge Rivers people to disregard these unfounded allegations and trust in Hon Ohia’s commitment to serving the state.
Despite facing unwarranted attacks from detractors, Hon Ohia remains resolute in his dedication to the success of Governor Fubara’s initiatives.

Obed Douglas
