The Rivers State Waste Management Agency, RIWAMA says it has prosecuted over 30 Environmental offenders in less than two weeks.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Environmental Sanitation, Hon Prince Obi disclosed this in a chat with journalists following the arrest and arraignment of 16 persons in Port Harcourt and Obio-Akpor Local Government Areas for various environmental law offences.
According to him, the arrest and prosecution of the 16 sanitation law offenders, brings the total number of prosecutions to over 30 in less than two weeks.
He vowed to continue the good works of Gov Siminalayi Fubara, warning residents to comply with environmental laws or face consequences.
