The Chairman of Rivers State Waste Management Agency, Felix Obuah has denied making negative comments about Governor Nyesom Wike over his threat of disbanding the agency within one week. This is if they fail to rid the state of waste.
Gov. Wike had made the announcement in a state-wide broadcast on Friday.
Shortly after the governor’s announcement, some comments credited to Obuah surfaced online.
In one of the comments, Felix Obuah was alleged to have said that: “Wike must be reminded that i projected him to PDP stakeholders, when he was absolutely nothing in our party.”
But Obuah in a press release through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam described the comments as false and misleading.
Part of the statement read;
“We want to categorically state that those comments purported to have been made by Bro Felix Obuah are absolutely very false, concocted, misleading and only exist in the wicked and malicious imagination of the authors.
We therefore, urge the good people of Rivers State to ignore it, as the authors are on a mischievous journey, to malign the hard earned reputation of Bro Felix Obuah.
Bro. Felix Obuah a responsible, honest and God fearing man, can’t make such comment, under any circumstance whatsoever.
Bro. Felix Obuah remains totally loyal and committed to His Excellency, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, POS (AFRICA), Governor, Rivers State and holds the Governor in very high esteemed.
We would take steps to report the authors of this false and misleading information to the law enforcement agencies.
