The Management of Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic Bori, has reacted to reports making the rounds that some students of the institution, were abducted by unknown gunmen few days ago.
Acting Rector of the institution Dr. Leedum Suanu in a signed statement yesterday, said the report is false.
He said the school is aware of the unfounded and unsubstantiated posts on social media about the alleged incident, stating that there is no iota of truth in it.
Dr. Leedum stated that due investigation carried out by the Police; the security outfit of the school, the Student Affairs Unit and the Student Union Government, shows that the story is baseless and untrue.
He noted that the institution takes the welfare and security of its students seriously.
He also said while the school cannot control activities that happen outside the school premises, it has confidence in security agencies to live up to its responsibilities.
