Reactions have trailed a letter written by the executives of Eligbam Youth Movement, Port Harcourt, Rivers state, to a company in the area demanding for the sum of N200,000 for their end of year activity.
The executives in the letter made public on Facebook by one Hon. Tega Nze and dated November 12, 2021 also demanded for 8 bags of rice, one cow, two gallons of groundnut oil, tomatoes and onion.
They said the items and cash should not be released without the presence of the president of the group.
Some online users have in the meantime described the youth group as lacking foresight.
Tega Nze on his part, said: ” Are you surprised why companies are moving to Lagos? See what a community that should be fighting for companies to come to their area and create opportunities for people wrote to a small firm. The annoying part is that,is coming from the youth body that should be encouraging invest.”
