A Rivers varsity student identified as ‘Joe Boy’ has revealed that internet fraudsters popularly known as “Yahoo Boys” are oppressing fellow students on campus with their money.
Joe, in a chat with our correspondent today, said it is now difficult to date a girl on campus, without a “Yahoo boy” snatching her from you.
He also said female students find it difficult to date their male counterparts who are not wealthy and influential.
He revealed that his girlfriend was snatched from him by a Yahoo boy on campus, as he could do nothing to win her back.
According to him, a lot of students are into the act, noting that many are also willing to join just to be influential on campus.
He noted that these set of students come to school in exotic cars which are more expensive than that of lecturers.
The student, also explained that if not for his background, he would have joined the illegal act, adding that he is in school to learn and not to acquire wealth.
When asked if he knows how those involved operate, he replied that it is difficult to know, except one joins what he described as “the business.”
Finally, he advised students to focus on their studies and not allow material things lead them to early grave, stressing that human sacrifice are sometimes required to hit it big.
