Chairman of Labour Party in Rivers State, Hilda Dokubo has said that Rivers women will resist any attempt to rig this saturday’s Governorship and House of Assembly election in the state.
Dokubo, in a tweet on her official Twitter page Today, said all they demand is a free, fair and credible election.
“Rivers women will not forget the Governor who hijacked and changed results, the commissioners who converted their homes to collation centres, Local government chairmen who used touts to intimidate citizens and INEC adhoc staff who aided the stealing of the people’s mandate but any attempt, or group of attempts or attempted attempts to carry out the same acts by the same culprit will not be accepted by the women. Our demand is for a free, fair and credible election,” she tweeted.
