Chairman of the Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, Enefaa Georgewill has called on the Inspector General of Police to withdraw Police Officers attached to VIPs to effectively secure the state.
Enefaa, said this Today in reaction to the killing of three Police escorts along the Rumuokoro flyover bridge few days ago.
According to him, if officers were well stationed on major roads, it would have been difficult for the suspects to escape.
He stated that anyone who needs security should reach out to private security firms to get one.
He commiserated with the Nigeria Police and families of the officers who were murdered in cold blood by the suspected kidnappers.
Meanwhile, the Police has vowed to bring the perpetrators to book and rescue the kidnapped victim.
