Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has threatened to sack the state Commissioner for Works, Alabo George-Kelly if he fails to mobilize contractors to begin work on the Ekaago-Ogboloma road in Abua/Odual local government area of the state within 24hrs.

The governor said this during the flag-off of the road yesterday.

Wike who expressed anger why the contractors have not mobilized to site to begin the project also issued a 24-hr ultimatum to the contractors to start the project or return the money.

He said the contractors have been paid two months ago adding that excuses would no longer be accepted.

The governor urged the people of Abua to vote for the PDP governorship candidate, SIM Fubara and other candidates of the party to continue from where he stopped.

He also said he is standing as a guarantor for SIM because he has what it takes to move the state forward.
