The Nigeria Labour Congress in Rivers State, says workers in the state have never had it this bad.
Speaking to journalists in Port Harcourt, today, Chairperson of the union in the state, Beatrice Itubo said workers have been suffering under the current administration.
According to her, gratuities and pensions have not been paid; no promotion amongst others.
She noted that many retirees have lost their lives due to hardship.
Workers are currently marking this year’s May Day in black apparels due to the failure of government to pay their gratuities and pension arrears.
The NLC boss, had in a statement said workers in the state will not support the presidential ambition of the state governor, for not being labour-friendly.
