E-hailing drivers in Rivers State, have appealed to the State Commissioner of Police, Eboka Friday, to ensure the prosecution of arrested ATM fraudsters to deter others.
The drivers, made the appeal in Port Harcourt, after another ATM fraudster was apprehended at Rumudara, yesterday, barely 24 hours one was arrested at the Iwofe axis of Port Harcourt.
One of the drivers in a statement, said the suspected fraudster was caught, when the driver suspected him, and alerted his colleagues.
He explained that the suspect, was taken to the Okporo Police Division, and later transferred to the Old GRA Police Headquarters.
He revealed that since January 2022, E-hailing drivers have lost more than one million naira to suspected ATM thieves.
According to him, the police explained that the suspects were been interrogated, and will be charged to court once investigation is concluded.
