The Rivers State Chapter of Water Producers Association of Nigeria, has called off its few days old strike.
Chairman of the Association, Egberi Mackson made this known in a chat with Journalists in Port Harcourt, on Monday.
He said water distribution in the state will now be from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm due to the issue of insecurity in the state.
The union, had embarked on a strike due to what it termed alleged harassment of its members by Taskforce Operatives in the state.
The price of sachet water immediately increased due to the strike, as residents complained bitterly over the development.
