Publicity Secretary of a political group known as G-23, Nnamdi Nwogu has berated the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike for failing to provide jobs for Rivers people.
Nwogu, in a chat with journalists after the group’s meeting in Port Harcourt, over the weekend, said Wike’s government has nothing to offer.
According to him, failure of the Wike administration forced some of his commissioners to resign.
He explained that Gov. Wike has failed to move the state forward and that “unless you are from Rumuepirikom, nothing for you.”
Nworgu advised Wike to go and learn governance from former governor of the state and current minister of transportation, Chibuike Amaechi who brought development to Rivers State.
He furthermore, called on River people to support a riverine person to emerge governor of the state, for the sake of equity and justice.
The G-23 is made up of sons and daughters of the state, agitating for a riverine governor in 2023.
