The Matchday 8 fixture of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) between Rivers United and Bayelsa United has been postponed following a heavy downpour that rendered the pitch unplayable.
According to a statement by the Media Officer of Rivers United FC, Charles Mayuku, the rescheduled match will now hold on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.
Mayuku noted that the decision was taken to ensure the safety of players, officials, and fans, as well as to maintain the integrity of the game.
