Rivers United FC midfielder, Oscar Ozornwanfor, has won the Young Player of the Season (NPFL) Award, organized by the League Bloggers.
Charles Mayuku, media officer of the club in a statement said Oscar received the prestigious award at a ceremony held on Friday.
He said, Ozornwanfor’s impressive performances for Rivers United FC, which include his emergence as the most valuable player in NPFL U-17 Youth League and his promotion to the senior team caught the attention of the League Bloggers, who voted him as the best young player in the NPFL for the 2023/2024 season.
“We are extremely proud of Oscar’s achievement,” said Rivers United FC General Manager Dr Okey Kpalukwu “He is an exceptional talent, and this award is a well-deserved recognition of his efforts. We are confident that he will continue to excel and make us proud in the years to come,” the club stated.
