Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side, Rivers United, have officially parted ways with their chief coach, Evans Ogenyi, following the expiration of his contract.
Ogenyi joined the technical crew of the former league champions during the 2023–2024 season. His exit marks the end of his short stint with the Port Harcourt-based club.
Sources indicate that the experienced tactician is expected to join a new team ahead of the upcoming NPFL campaign.
Ogenyi previously led Lobi Stars to the NPFL title in 2018.
