Two fishermen have reportedly lost their lives along the Bonny-Opobo/Nkoro waterways in Rivers State following a pirate attack.
A source said the fishermen jumped into the sea during the attack.
He said the heavily armed pirates stole over eight harbour engines from the fishermen’s boats.
He accused security agents who patrol along the waterways of not doing enough to secure lives and property, adding that families of the missing fishermen are still searching for their bodies at sea.
