A stakeholder of the Nigeria Labour Congress in Rivers State, Anthony Nwachukwu has called on workers who are having issues with payment of the new minimum wage to channel their complaints to the tripartite committee on minimum wage.
Nwachukwu, made this known in a statement on Thursday, in reaction to claims by some workers that the new approved wage did not reflect on their salaries
He also said some workers claiming that the wage did not reflect lack the basic knowledge of mathematics, noting that the new wage has been implemented by the state government.
“Those claiming the N85,000 didn’t reflect, lack knowledge of mathematics… Those who have issues with the minimum wage payment should channel complaints to tripartite committee,” he said.
As you may know? payment of the approved N85,000 minimum wage by the Rivers State Government started yesterday with some workers claiming to have received it.
