Rivers State is poised to create more than 30,000 employment opportunities as part of a renewed economic empowerment drive spearheaded by the Commissioner for Employment Generation and Economic Empowerment, Hon. Dr. Chisom Kenneth Gbali.
On Tuesday, Gbali led a series of strategic meetings with key national and international stakeholders aimed at boosting sustainable job creation and economic growth in the state.
The high-level engagements brought together the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Marine and Blue Economy, Prof. I. Busayo; the United Nations Representative on Albinism, Ambassador Dr. Jake Epelle; as well as foreign investment partners.
Discussions centered on attracting credible local and international investors to establish industries and manufacturing facilities in Rivers State, a move expected to expand employment opportunities for youths and job seekers across both the public and private sectors.
Officials said the initiative would further position Rivers State as a competitive destination for domestic and foreign investments while strengthening its economic base.
