An Okrika Chief, has condemned the demolition of waterfronts along the Iloabuchi axis of Diobu in Port Harcourt, by the Rivers State Government, without any form of compensation.
The chief, in a chat with journalists in Port Harcourt, today, claimed that the waterfronts are owned by the Okirika people and the Wobo family in Diobu.
According to him, the demolition was carried out to destabilize the Okrika people perceived as political opponents.
He stated that thousands of persons have been rendered homeless and have nowhere to go to, adding that people now sleep by the roadside.
“Governor Nyesom Wike plan is to destabilize the Okirikans. The illoabuchi waterfronts are owned by the Okrika people and the Wobo family in Diobu,” he claimed.
