The Rivers State University has ranked 96th of 200 best universities in Africa by UNIRANK.
The ranking which was released recently saw the University of Pretoria, and the University of Cape Town, both in South Africa, taking the first and second positions.
The best university in Nigeria according to the list, is the University of Lagos, which held the number 8 position, while the University of Nigeria held the 25th position, closely followed by the Obafemi Awolowo University at number 36.
