Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt, is set to host its “Walk for Life” fitness and health program on Saturday, 27th September, 2025.
The event, which begins at 7:00 a.m., will kick off from the Old Senate Building and will feature a 2.5-kilometre walk as well as 30 minutes of aerobics.
Highlights of the program include free blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests, and Body Mass Index (BMI) assessments. The initiative is aimed at encouraging members of the university community to prioritize their wellbeing, with the theme: “Your Health, Your Responsibility.”
The event, which is organised by the University Sports Unit, demonstrates the university’s commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle among staff, students, and the wider community.
