Two male students of Okporo Community Secondary School in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, have pleaded not guilty to gang raping a female student of the school.
The students, Confidence Gbaragbe and Chukwudi Daniel denied the charges bordering on defilement when it was read at the Chief Magistrate Court in Port Harcourt.
They were alleged to have committed the crime few weeks ago.
Chief Magistrate, Rita Ogugor after listening to both counsel ordered that the suspects be kept in a remand home and adjourned the matter to December 7, 2021, for their bail application.
This was after counsel to the two students Nda Chinedu had applied for their bail application.
Meanwhile, the International Federation of Women Lawyers in the state, has promised to ensure Justice is served in the matter.
