The Divisional Police Officer of Rumuji Police station and the leader of OSPAC in ibaa, Emuoha Local Government Area of Rivers State, Mr Ndidi Eke have been accused of trying to abduct a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Fubara Ohaka at his residence, yesterday.
A resident of the community who made the allegation in a statement said, the DPO and his boys stormed the area, fully armed and tried to whisked Hon Fubara away but were resisted by sons and daughters of the land.
He said this was during the Central Bank Age grade celebration held at the residence of the respected party leader.
He stated that the DPO explained to Hon. Fubara that he was wanted by the Commissioner of Police and immediately, they called the CP who denied inviting him.
He also accused the Police Officer of working with the disbanded OSPAC group in Ibaa community.
“The DPO in his claims said the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State Requested they should bring him Over but when the Commissioner of Police was contacted, he declined of having any knowledge of what happened,” he said.
“The DPO who has been working with the alleged disbanded OSPAC in Ibaa claimed the same boys who are wanted is on the Run but surprisingly, the same guys led him over,” the source added.
He added that the officers hurriedly left after the failed attempt.
