Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike says the state records not less than a hundred cases of Covid-19 on a daily basis.

The Governor, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, said the number of cases being recorded is getting out of hand.

He said the situation may not be deadly but people still need to be careful and observe all covid protocols.

He revealed that religious bodies in the state have been directed to reduce the number of worshippers to 50 percent to help curb its spread.

He also directed businesses in the state to obey all covid safety protocols of the NCDC and the state government.

The Governor, reiterated that his administration will not take it lightly with anyone who flouts these directives, as they are working to reduce the spread of the dreaded virus.
