The Nigeria Demographic and Health Survey has rated Rivers State, as the 7th state on the list of twelve states where men support beating women for arguing with their husbands.
NDHS released the list after a survey it conducted.
Borno state topped the list with 49 percent followed by Kebbi: 32%, Delta: 28%, Ondo: 24% and Adamawa: 23 percent.
Others are: Bauchi: 22%,.Rivers: 20%, Kaduna: 18%, Sokoto: 18%, Kano: 18%, Jigawa: 15% and Zamfara with 14%.
The group, released the list to celebrate women today, which is International Women’s Day and to speak against the social vice.
